I had the honor of photographing Terry and Luis’ New York City wedding and I jumped at the chance to travel to one of the cities on my bucket list! My former bride, Melanie contacted me to see if I might be interested in photographing her best friend and former ‘man of honor’s’ wedding. I’ve always wanted to photograph a same sex wedding, as it’s something I strongly believe in. I’m a hopeless romantic, but I truly do believe that love really does conqueror all! Terry and Luis were fantastic, flexible and so helpful as my mom (who served as my travel companion) and I extended our stay a few days and became tourists.
The September day started off beautifully near Time Square.
St. John’s Church in the Village looked beautiful inside and out.
The reception was at this amazing Thai restaurant in Brooklyn called Sea. I had the best pad thai of my life!
Terry and Luis decided to save their first dance for later int he night at the historic and jaw dropping (at least to this out-of-towner) New York Public LibraryYay! Officially married and amazing! A million congrats to Terry and Luis who reminded me what love really is!
