I spent part of my afternoon today with Rachel, Scott and their new baby Ellie. She is too cute for words! I’m super busy editing wedding photos so here is a teaser for everyone…

There is something about this image that is cute and fresh. It reminds me of spring. I think it’s the colors mostly but also how happy mom and baby are; really sends it home for me.

Rachel was nice enough to let me use Ellie as  a ‘practice baby’ of sorts because I don’t have as much experience photographing the little ones as I’d like. I’m better with dogs actually than children. Is that bad? Babies have a weird sense about me and always seem to cry when I hold them. Ellie was quite the trooper though, and let me do whatever I wanted. I think my big camera scared her a bit but she came around later. Either way, I can always go back. I think it would be nice to do a couple sessions every year or so to see how she grows up.

In addition, I’ve been working hard to create a sideshow of my wedding images so clients can see a larger sample than what’s on my website. Finally, I am done! Here it is:

Although, not all the weddings are edited yet (eek! it takes so long, thanks to all my couples for being so patient), I am quite proud of it. I feel I’ve learned a lot and grow a lot as a photographer especially this past year.

But, it’s not over yet, it’s now Fall, my favorite season ever and I can’t wait for pumpkins, the cider mill and bad cheesy horror flicks!
