But, really the most breathtaking part of the day was Bobbi. I mean seriously? Beautiful.
These flowers are actually called Davis Austin roses, from Seasons Floral in Grandville. I thought they were peonies. Had me fooled. They smelled so amazing, I can’t even explain.
I have to give a shout out to my January bride, Steph for Bobi’s inspirations on the shoes. She said she saw my post on Steph’s shoes, I went searching for the same ones. I feel so loved when brides read all my blogs!
Every time I see this picture, I think: Stop. hammer time. Ha!
Love the top two images, they’re too cute!
50mm 1.8 is a God send. It’s completely changed how I work.
So, as I’ve said before, not a huge fan of lens flare. But sometimes it just works. Or should I say, you just have to make it work. It was a beautiful August day for this wedding, but the sun was just blazing down. Here is where you have a choice to blow out your sky to get your subjects to come in. Frankly, I’m of with blowing out my sky if I have to. That is why it helps to pick a shaded area where the sun can just peak through the trees, and you can position yourself around it. Always, always place the sun behind the subjects head. You never want them to look squinty. Work with the light, let it create a halo effect.Move around it till you get it right.
This is my assistant Brad’s shot, but you can say I’ve taught him well. Although, he’s a pretty smart guy on his own 🙂
I love this shot. 1.8 perfection.
I had so many funny ones of the bridal party, it was hard to choose which to post. But this is one of my faves.
Miles surprised Bobi on the wedding day with the chair covers. A man that knows his chair covers, in my book, is a man to marry. It really does add to the elegance of the room!
Beautiful guest book, designed by you’re truly.
Thank you Bobi and Miles for an amazing day! Look out for their joint trash the dress session at the end of the month….
