The Bahamas feel like a dream. A dream I can’t seem to get back. I want to live a life on an island with endless white sand, turquoise water and a never ending supply of coconut rum. I never even liked coconut until I went there. Pina Coladas are now my new favorite thing!
For my first tropical vacation, it was defiantly a hit. I always get nervous when I fly (fear of heights) but I thing I might have conquered it this time. I handled the take off and landing like a champ!
On the first day we did a whole lot of nothing and it was perfect. Here are a couple of iphone photos I took while laying on the beach.

And then we went here, and I died.

This is Cloister Gardens. It’s a little gem hidden on Paradise Island and the least crowed area we encountered. It was pure beauty and magic. I could have set up a little tent and lived there for the rest of my life.

This is known as the Versailles Garden across the street. It’s a popular spot for weddings. I would cut off my arm to shoot a wedding here. Well, I’m not sure how I’d be a one arm photographer, but I’d make it work!

Towards the end of our trip we headed to the main island of Nassau where I found met my new found obsession; palm trees. Come on, give a Midwestern girl a break. I’ve only seen them a couple times in my life and find them beautiful.

In order to get to Nassau, we had to take a ferry. More like two guys and a boat. But the Bahamians don’t care. Everything is “No Problem” with them, and “Have some more Rum!” So we did and I tried not to throw up on the boat.
