So many of my clients are having babies this summer and I can’t wait! I photographed Donna and Adam’s wedding and they still have some of my favorite first look images ever. The thing I love so much about these two is the way they look at each other. It’s endearing  true and reminds me why I became a photographer. I know it’s corny, but I love love!

We started at my house where I have my client meeting space and lots of natural light. Then we headed over to Riverside and Veteran’s Park for natural light shots.

Love! Favorite. I know Donna thought I was crazy when I asked her to lay down, but I think it paid off.

Their dog, Hercules (perfect name, I know!) joined us as well. He’s quite the model. I think the treats helped a little too!

Abbey + Ryan: Maternity (Ann Arbor Family Photographer)

Almost a year ago I was walking up to Abbey and Ryan’s beautiful farm house in the country to shoot their intimate wedding on the front porch. Now, I am more than thrilled to make a trip back to celebrate their new little addition arriving in April.

 

Almost a year ago I was walking up to Abbey and Ryan’s beautiful farm house in the country to shoot their intimate wedding on the front porch. Now, I am more than thrilled to make a trip back to celebrate their new little addition arriving in April.

I always love an excuse to visit Abbey and Ryan. I love the synergy between them. They are so relaxed and will try anything for a great photo… a photographer’s dream. Their house also has amazing natural light.

I took a few shots in their nursery, which Abbey decorated beautifully, like everything else in her home. With a little help from Target, I’m sure. Because it’s the best store ever!

Ryan and Abbey are waiting to be surprised for the gender. (Also, I had a hard time spelling surprise with blocks… I take pictures, words are hard!)

Whether a boy or a girl, this baby is going to have amazing parents and plenty of canine protection! Loved spending the afternoon with these two. I can’t wait to come back and meet the baby! All my love and prayers for a healthy, happy delivery.

Basically, they are too cute.

I love black and white portraits. They are probably my favorite thing to photograph.

You would think this beautiful setting was at a park or somewhere, but no its right in their own back yard. I love it! Might have to rent it out for some senior sessions.
