(yes, Misty is my real name!) I was born and raised in Clinton township, MI. That’s on the east side of Michigan, by Detroit for all you non-Michiganders.

I graduated from Grand Valley State University (Go Lakers!) in 2007, with two degrees. One in Advertising and Public Relations, the other in Photography.

I now live in Grand Rapids, MI and own Misty Minna Photography.  I work all over Michigan and love to travel.

I am close with my mother, owner of Eileen’s Designs Etc… My mom is my main source of inspiration in all things creative. I would like to thank my mom for giving me my very first Fujica camera, and for taking me to the DIA (Detroit Institute of Arts) many times as a little kid. (Thanks mom, love you…)

Here are some of my favorites (in no particular order): My Canon 5D MarkII, Photoshop, writing, designing things, coming up with new ideas, figuring out how things work, spending long hours on the computer, projects, organizing things, cooking (but not doing the dishes), long drives in the fall (pretty much anything to do with fall), kickboxing class, big cities, my late dog Dolly, a certain Mr. B Sparks and his dog Stewie, electronic devices that do fun things, jewelry, shoes!, going on trips (but not packing), watching TV online and anything related to advertising, marketing, design or branding, and the list goes on…
